The Hoia Baciu Forest got its name from a shepherd. Allegedly, the shepherd went missing in the area while with two hundred sheep. Locals who live near the area do not want to go to the Hoia Baciu Forest because of the stories they heard from people who were brave enough to go through the thick forest. An Inexplicable Circle Clearing At The Hoia Baciu Forest

One area in the forest is an inexplicable circle clearing where nothing ever grows. In the middle of the woods, the circle clearing is located and is believed to be the home of the ghosts in the Hoia Baciu Forest. Many have taken soil samples from the area but nothing could be found as to the reason why no vegetables or other plants are grown there.

Also, many have taken photos at the circle clearing and outlines of human forms, hovering shapes, and other unexplainable images have appeared.

One woman said she went there with her friend and they did not see UFOs but she did feel suffocated and felt like she was being watched. She added that they stayed at the forest for more than an hour and it was too quiet.
