Another famous area here is the Theorosa’s Bridge and many go here not because it’s a nice bridge or has a scenic view. The only reason people visit this bridge is because they hope to see the alleged ghost of a young girl here.

Little is known about Theorosa’s bridge. However, initially, it was just and iron and wood bridge and it was burned down in 1974. Later, it was replaced with what it is known now – a concrete structure.

The Ghost of Theorosa

There are many stories surrounding the story of Theorosa. She was reportedly a young woman who threw her baby into the river near the bridge. Many claim that when you say the words, “Theorosa, I have your baby,” three times, she would appear in the bridge. Some claim that when someone would say these words, she would attack the person saying it and will try to drag him or her into the river.

The first and the oldest story about Theorosa was that a group of Native Americans were traveling through the area. They then took a settler’s baby and that baby is Theorosa. Her mother went to look for her and called out for Theorosa everywhere. To this day, many are saying that they can still hear the voice of Theorosa’s mother crying out for her.

Another story is that Theorosa is a young Native American. Allegedly, she fell in love with a white settler and they had an illegitimate baby. Because of her shame, she tried to hide it and threw her baby into a river near the bridge. However, because she was overwhelmed by grief, she also threw herself into the water. In relation to this, another story claims that Theorosa was standing on the banks of a nearby creek. Later, the baby of her father stabbed her. The baby allegedly fell into the water while Theorosa died from being stabbed.

One more story surrounding Theorosa’s Bridge is that she was a local farm wife. However, she had an affair with a hired helper and they had an illegitimate child. Because she was so guilty, she threw the baby from the bridge. She also jumped after.

Another story involves more people. Accordingly, Theorosa has a mother and a father, as well as two brothers. Theorosa is the only one who has brown hair while their sons have blonde hair. Her father suspected his wife of having an affair with their neighbor so one day he drowned Theorosa in the river. When the father went home, her mother asked where Theorosa was but he confessed that he killed her. Because of that, the mother went to the river to try and look for Theorosa. Allegedly, her husband told her that she could be found down the creek, at the end of the bridge. The father took her brothers away and abandoned the mother. The mother continued to search for Theorosa until the day she died of natural causes.

Paranormal Activities At Theorosa’s Bridge
