The History Of Michigan Bell Telephone Co.

The Michigan Bell Telephone Co. is a subsidiary of the Ameritech Corp, which is the primary supplier of local telephone service in the state of Michigan. In the year 1984, the Michigan Bell Telephone Co. and for other Midwestern telephone companies were the first of the major telephone lines servicing the area.

However, that’s not the most interesting history of Michigan Bell Telephone Co. Accordingly, the area where the establishment was built had a haunted past. Reports claim that the grounds where the Michigan Bell Telephone Co. stands today is where the former extravagant mansion of the Judd-White family stood. The first owners sold the lot to Warren Randall and his wife after the mansion got demolished.

Randall and his wife built their home in the area. One day, when Randall was working as a railroad brakeman, he lost his leg on the job. He had to get a wooden prosthetic for the limb he lost. According to reports, losing his leg made him fall into depression and insecurity. He accused his wife to be having an affair.

Soon after, their marriage fell apart and their fights got worse because they could even be heard arguing by their neighbours. Usually, the neighbours called the cops on them so they would stop arguing so loudly. There was even one time when Warren chased his wife towards an alley and threatened to kill her with a razor. Virginia did leave him but he did something to make her come back.

It is unclear what happened to the two when they got back together, but after weeks of not seeing the couple and the workers next door noticed a pungent smell coming from the couple’s home, they contacted police officials. When the officials went to investigate the mansion, they found the couple dead. Police reports confirmed that Warren beat his wife Virginia to death using his prosthetic wooden leg. After killing her, he committed suicide by slitting his throat using the same razor he was found holding when he chased his wife down an alley during a previous argument.

After the killings, the lot where the mansion once stood was purchased by Michigan Bell Telephone Co. The area was purchased in the year 1920 and the construction of the building for the Michigan Bell Telephone Co. was completely constructed in the year 1924.

The Paranormal Activities At The Mansion

After the death of the couple, strange occurrences already started. Accordingly, neighbours heard the screams of Virginia. She could be heard pleading and begging for Warren not to kill her. Some also saw strange lights coming from the mansion even if no one was living there anymore. Others reported the thumping sound of Warren’s prosthetic wooden leg.

When the Michigan Bell Telephone Co. was erected, the other paranormal activities coming from the building started to happen. One of the activities included prank calls coming from the building. The prank calls were made in the middle of the night.

It is unclear what kind of prank calls are made by the duo but they are said to be eerie, harassing, and strange.
